The author of these images enjoyed interacting with a deep-learning convolutional neural network capable of making images from textual descriptions. The question that comes naturally to ask in this case then is: Who is the author? If we consider Author - Artist, the one who acts willfully, and if to act voluntarily requires intention, and intention is the result of consciousness, and consciousness is proper to the human being, we could conclude that without humanity there is no art possible(?) But if to my human intentionality, my creative thinking, moved by consciousness, we add powerful technology such as Artificial Intelligence, can we admit the resulting works into the genre of artistic creations?I Leave this question open-ended and invite you to walk through this Portfolio where I have gathered a small selection of works produced over the past year as a result of daily, often frustrating, sometimes surprising, work with Midjourney, one of the best AI software for making creative projects for images.
